Forschungsprojekte

Beyond safety and efficiency in acute care: The experience of an embodied staff-environment interaction (DFG SPP 2199 Scalable Interaction Paradigms for Pervasive Computing Environments)

Sicherheit und Effizienz sind wichtige Kriterien der Interaktion in komplexen, soziotechnischen Bereichen mit verteilten Geräten wie Kraftwerken oder dem Gesundheitswesen. Daher konzentrierten sich technische Entwicklungen, Bewertungen und Forschung häufig auf eine sichere und effiziente Interaktion mit der Technologie. Dabei wurden implizit oder explizit nur klassische Konzepte der Interaktion berücksichtigt, wie z.B. Interaktion als Übertragung (maximaler Informationsdurchsatz). Das Forschungsprojekt wird Erkenntnisse über die Erklärungskraft und Gestaltungskraft moderner theoretischer Konzepte zur Interaktion in sicherheitskritischen Bereichen liefern. Die Ergebnisse werden dazu beitragen, Effizienz und Sinnhaftigkeit in einer allgegenwärtigen Personal-Umwelt-Interaktion zu verstehen und auszubalancieren und gleichzeitig die Sicherheit zu gewährleisten.

 

HistKI – Untersuchung, Modellierung und multimodale KI-basierte Unterstützung von Bildquellenrecherche und -kritik als komplexe und grundlegende geschichtswissenschaftliche Arbeitstechnik (BMBF Digital Humanities)

HistKI modelliert den Prozess der Bildforschung und -kritik aus der Perspektive der Computerunterstützung und erweitert aus einer historisch-wissenschaftlich-methodischen Perspektive die bisher meist problembezogenen oder infrastrukturellen Erklärungsmodelle. In allen Geschichtswissenschaften dient die Quellenkritik dem Zweck, eine Quelle einzuordnen und zu analysieren, von der aus Interpretation und Theoriebildung erfolgen. Über die Spezifika der Forschungsfrage hinaus lassen sich einige grundsätzliche Teilprobleme in Bezug auf den Subtypus der visuellen Quelle identifizieren: Welche Objekte sind auf den Bildern abgebildet? Wie wurden die Bildanordnungen gewählt? Wie konnotieren die Arrangements bestimmte Darstellungsabsichten? Was sind motiv- oder arrangierungsähnliche Bilder ("visuelle Zitate")? Wann sind die Bilder datiert? Was sind die spezifischen Merkmale eines Künstlers als Bildproduzent?
