DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING OF AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOTICS

Building 46 (E), Room 139

Welcome to RobLab

The RobLab enables the development and testing of autonomous robotic systems for research and teaching. We offer an optimal environment for practical experience in the field of mobile robotics and support collaboration between students and sponsors.

TEACHING AND RESEARCH

Basics of autonomous systems

Research and development of fundamental concepts for self-employed robotic systems and their intelligence.

Sensors for environment detection

Development and optimisation of sensor systems for the precise detection of the environment in real time.

3D mapping and localisation

Research on algorithms and methods for precise positioning and environment mapping.

Processing of 3D point clouds

Development of efficient methods for analysing and interpreting complex 3D point cloud data.

Semantic scene interpretation

Research into methods for the intelligent interpretation and understanding of complex environments.

Path planning and navigation

Development of optimised navigation strategies for safe and efficient movements in dynamic environments.

Resources

Students have access to state-of-the-art technology in an air-conditioned laboratory that can be darkened.
