The "Software Laboratories I, II, III and IV" primarily support the basic training courses. The 85 workstations in the four laboratories are equipped with the latest processors, a generous amount of main memory and Gigabit Ethernet connections.

The computers run the latest Microsoft operating system. A high-resolution data projector (beamer) is used for presentations in each laboratory. A central printer can also be accessed from the laboratories.

Modern development tools (Eclipse, NetBeans, ...), many open source tools but also products widely used in practice, such as Microsoft Office or Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, ...) are available to students for training: List of all installed software programs.

Software labs I, II, III and IV are primarily used for courses in the following areas:

• Programming training (Java, C++, ...),
• Algorithms and data structures,
• database systems,
• software engineering,
• basics of digital media (electronic publishing, human-computer communication, ...)
