Deutsche Bank annual general meeting
Insights into procedures, speeches and discussions

17 Jun 2026

Students from the Department of Applied Computer Science at Fulda University of Applied Sciences recently attended Deutsche Bank’s annual general meeting at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre, led by Prof. Göltenboth.

For Deutsche Bank, it was the first in-person annual general meeting since the start of the coronavirus pandemic – and for the students, an opportunity to experience first-hand the key operations and decision-making processes of a DAX-listed enterprise.

The focus was primarily on the contributions from the Supervisory Board, the Executive Board and the shareholders. This enabled participants to gain insights into Business Management and communication, and to specialise in business management knowledge through practical experience.

Given Deutsche Bank’s current strong performance, the discussion remained comparatively calm and objective overall. Nevertheless, topics such as the Wirecard scandal and the economic challenges facing Germany as a business location were repeated.

All in all, it was a very successful and informative trip.
