Programming preliminary course

Should I participate in Ready2Code?

We recommend participation if at least one of the following statements does not apply to you:

  • I have done programming before.
  • I know Terminal not only from the airport but also on my computer.
  • My computer is set up for programming with Java or C.
  • I know what a text editor is.
  • Compiling is no problem for me.
  • I could create a simple game with Scratch.
  • I have followed at least one course on the moodle learning platform.

THIS IS HOW THE PROGRAM EXPIRES

The preliminary course will take place ONLINE from 6 to 10 October 2025 will take place.

It passes learning videos and online live sessions on the various topic blocks. All materials and instructions are available in the Ready2Code course on the moodle e-learning platform. You can register via moodle using your student user identification number and password. You will receive the access data with your enrolment documents.

THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT

  • get to know algorithmic building blocks with Scratch(https://scratch.mit.edu/).

  • operate and navigate your own computer using the console

  • install JDK (Java Development Kit) or a C compiler

  • create the classic "Hello World" in the text editor

  • compile and execute a program

  • exchange information about course content and the first semester with fellow students
