Business.week - International Teaching

21 Jul 2024

Successful premiere at the business department

From 17 to 21 June, the Business.Week - International Teaching for instructors from partner universities took place for the first time at the Department of Business. This innovative week offered a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary exchange and the specialisation of cross-border collaboration.

Business.Week - International Te aching was created to provide instructors with a platform to exchange experiences, gain new perspectives and expand their networks. The course also strengthens the concept of "internationalisation at home". In addition to the courses, the cultural programme with field trips and a visit to a musical was an essential part of the week and gave participants a deep insight into the local culture.

The participants included representatives from the JAMK University of Applied Sciences in Finland, Jan Kochanowski University and Cracow University of Economics in Poland and the University of the Free State in South Africa. This diversity contributed significantly to the success of the week.

The re-enrolment of the participants was consistently positive and it was particularly emphasised how valuable and inspiring the exchange and getting to know the department and colleagues on site was. Next appointments and invitations to the partner universities have already been extended. The cultural programme, which comprised city tours and visits to cultural facilities, was also very well received.

Busines.Week - International Teaching is to take place again next year. Planning has already begun and the aim is to attract even more participants from different countries. The aim is for the International Week to become a permanent institution that supports intercultural dialogue and international collaboration in the long term.
