Winter School at Tec de Monterrey

International Networking through the DHIK
Fulda University of Applied Sciences is a member of the DHIK, a network of 37 universities. The consortium promotes exchange programs and practical semesters with partner universities, particularly in China, Mexico, India, and South Africa.

Winter School Mexico: A Platform for Intercultural Exchange
Since 2018, the Winter School in Mexico has been organized under the leadership of Kiel University of Applied Sciences. It has since established itself as an important platform for intercultural exchange and academic collaboration, providing students with valuable international experiences.

Logistics Management students Marco Maurer and Meikel Anoschin participated in the Winter School at Tecnológico de Monterrey in Querétaro, Mexico, from February 17 to March 1, 2025. This unique experience fostered an open and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged intercultural exchange.

Diverse Academic Program
The renowned partner university, Tec de Monterrey, offered a diverse mix of specialized knowledge and intercultural learning. Particularly, the Innovations Management and Intercultural Leadership and Management modules provided valuable new perspectives on entrepreneurship and international collaboration. The exchange with students and lecturers from Germany and Mexico was especially enriching. Additionally, the modern campus provided fascinating insights into the Mexican higher education system and innovative teaching methods.

Cultural Experiences and Practical Insights
Beyond academics, the students improved their Spanish language skills, experienced Mexican culture firsthand, and participated in Salsa and Bachata classes. The highlights of the program included a visit to the impressive pyramids of Teotihuacán and an exclusive tour of the Bosch factory.
