Tag der offenen Tür 2024: Spannende Einblicke und lebendiger Austausch im FU³
Am 2. November 2024 öffnete die Hochschule Fulda ihre Türen im Selbstlernzentrum für den diesjährigen „Tag der offenen Tür“. Die Veranstaltung bot einen spannenden Nachmittag, der durch intensiven Wissensaustausch und lebendige Diskurse zwischen Fachpublikum und interessierten Besuchern geprägt war.
Das Forschungszentrum FU³ präsentierte sich an diesem Tag mit einem eigenen Informationsstand, an dem die vielfältigen Forschungsaktivitäten und Projekte des Zentrums vorgestellt wurden. Besucherinnen und Besucher hatten die Möglichkeit, direkt mit den beteiligten Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern ins Gespräch zu kommen, mehr über aktuelle Forschungsschwerpunkte zu erfahren und sich über die Entwicklung innovativer Lösungsansätze in verschiedenen Disziplinen zu informieren.
Im Rahmen der Veranstaltung wurden zwei spannende Postervorträge aus dem Forschungszentrum FU³ ausgestellt:
„DIE RICHTIGKEIT MEISTERN: Desinformation identifizieren und wissenschaftsbasierte Argumentation auswerten“ – Ein Poster, das die aktuellen Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen im Umgang mit Desinformation thematisierte und praxisorientierte Ansätze zur Identifikation von Fehlinformationen sowie die Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Argumentationsmethoden darlegte. Das Poster regte zahlreiche Diskussionen über die Relevanz von Medienkompetenz und kritischem Denken in der heutigen Gesellschaft an.
„MAPPING PROGRAMS FOSTERING ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR MIGRANT WOMEN WITH CORRESPONDENCE ANALYSIS APPROACH“ – Ein Fachposter von Frau Deepica Sachdeva, M. Sc. und Prof. Dr. Joanna Ozga, das sich mit Programmen zur Förderung von Unternehmertum unter Migrantinnen beschäftigte. Durch den Einsatz einer Korrespondenzanalyse wurden verschiedene Unterstützungsprogramme untersucht und visualisiert, um Potenziale und Herausforderungen für migrantische Unternehmerinnen sichtbar zu machen. Auch hier weckte das Poster großes Interesse und wurde intensiv von den Besucherinnen und Besuchern gesichtet.
Der „Tag der offenen Tür“ im Selbstlernzentrum der Hochschule Fulda war somit ein voller Erfolg – ein Tag, der nicht nur den Wissensdurst der Besucher stillte, sondern auch neue Perspektiven auf die Forschung und das Engagement der Hochschule Fulda eröffnete. Der Austausch zwischen Fachpublikum und allgemeinen Interessierten wird auch in Zukunft eine zentrale Rolle im FU³ spielen.
3rd Fulda Sustainability Forum on 8 October 2024
On Tuesday, 8 October 2024, the third Sustainability Forum took place at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences, where Professor Dr Angelika Sawczyn-Müller presented her research findings on the use of digital technologies in the context of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD). These guidelines require enterprises to provide both social and environmental information, which poses a significant challenge in terms of data collection and the preparation of life cycle assessments.
With 45 participants from the region, the exchange on sustainability aspects in lending and the integration of sustainability reports into sustainable cycles was intensified. Professor Sawczyn-Müller emphasised the need for such formats to support small and medium-sized enterprises in particular in implementing the new reporting obligations.
Another assistant, Mr Urban Buschmann, an experienced sustainability manager, explained the importance of a holistic view of the value chain for the assessment of environmental impacts. In addition, representatives of VR Bank Fulda emphasised the responsibility of banks to channel financial flows into sustainable projects and comply with the associated reporting obligations in a presentation on the topic of "Sustainability aspects in the context of lending".
The positive response to the course suggests that this format will be renewed next year in order to continue supporting and expanding the dialogue on sustainability in the region.

1st Fulda Sustainability Forum on 25 June 2024
The "Sustainability Forum" series of events was launched by the Fulda Centre for Business Management and Entrepreneurship (FU³) at Fulda University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with VR Bank Fulda. Numerous interested parties came to the first Sustainability Forum to find out about the increasing requirements for sustainability reporting. In addition to exciting presentations, guests were offered sufficient time for networking.

Workshop on banking and banking law on 13 October 2023
The conference focussed on published research results and research in development with the aim of transferring these to the region and at the same time assessing current developments in the fields of banking and banking law from an academic perspective. The high-calibre program met with great interest among the approximately 50 participants and addressed issues such as regulation, digitisation and sustainability.
