Transfer

The field of sustainability thrives on the active transfer of knowledge and research findings into business practice. Through our practice and knowledge transfer, we support enterprises in implementing the latest developments and strategies in sustainability management. The Fulda Sustainability Forum serves as a central platform where experts from research, business and society come together to exchange ideas and develop solutions related to practice for current sustainability challenges. Complementing this, Fulda University of Applied Sciences' certificate course in sustainability management offers a comprehensive continuing education programme aimed at providing enterprises with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively implement sustainable practices.

Fulda Sustainability Forum

The Fulda Centre for Business Management and Entrepreneurship (FU³) and VR Bank Fulda have launched the Sustainability Forum to network enterprises in the region and offer solutions related to practice for the challenges of sustainability. The forum aims to regularly combine findings from the research activities of Fulda University of Applied Sciences with practice-oriented approaches from regional partners.

Enterprises face diverse and far-reaching challenges in the area of sustainability. These range from the implementation of regulatory requirements to the need to transform entire industries. Particular attention is being paid to the increased requirements for sustainability reporting. From 2026, the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) will require not only large but also medium-sized enterprises to report on social, societal and environmental topics.

The Fulda Sustainability Forum offers a platform where specific aspects of sustainability reporting, such as materiality analysis, are examined from a theoretical perspective. Additional placement reports offer insights into how enterprises implement the guidelines in practice.

The forum offers participants

  • Placementreports: experiences and reports from enterprises that have already taken steps in sustainability reporting.
  • Networking: Opportunities for exchange and collaboration with other regional enterprises and experts.
  • Solution approaches: Practical and application-relevant approaches to meeting the challenges of sustainability and remaining competitive.
