Dear new students,

the introductory week in the sommer semester 26 will take place from 13.04. - 15.04.2026.

The courses for first-semester students will begin on Thursday, 16 April 2026.

Students of all study programmes who are entering their second or higher semester can find all information about the start of lectures in the summer semester on the eFBW homepage.

The International Office offers additional courses for international students.

For course enrolment, log in to Horstl with your student user identification number and register for courses via the tabs "EVENTS AND EXAMINATIONS" > "Show schedule of lectures".

If you also need help with course enrolment, you will find lots of helpful information and instructions in the IT Support docu-wiki and on YouTube. If you have technical problems with your registration, please by email.

Why?

Only those who are registered for the courses in Horstl have a binding claim to a place in the module. Therefore, please pay attention to the registration deadlines!

How?
After matriculation, you will receive a request (by email) together with your matriculation documents to upload a photo for your chip card. After you have uploaded the photo, your chip card will be created and sent to you by post. You can find more information online at https://www.hs-fulda.de/en/study/information-for-students/student-id-card

Why do you need it?
The chip card is your student identity. It also serves as a library card, contactless payment card in the cafeteria and photocopier card.

How to do it?
The library account is automatically set up for you as a student at the university. Before using it for the first time, set a password (the email will automatically be sent to your university email address!) You will find your personal ID number on the back of the chip card.

How?
Log in via elearning.hs-fulda.de/w. When registering for the first time, you will need to register with your student user identification number and create a profile. Enter your university e-mail address and matriculation number. If you have any problems, please contact the eLearning lab.

Why is this necessary?
Moodle is an internal departmental communication platform. You can find important information about courses and examinations on the noticeboard. You will also find all the necessary materials for your courses in the course area. As soon as you have taken a course in Horstl, you will automatically be transferred to the corresponding courses in Moodle.
