As a new student, you’ll take courses directly during the induction days at the start of the programme – support is available on site if you have any questions about course enrolment.

The preliminary mathematics course is aimed at new students and prepares you for the mathematical basics of your university studies before the start of the programme (including basics, arithmetic, exponential and logarithmic functions, equations and inequalities). It takes the form of a compact, in-person course lasting several days, held shortly before the start of lectures. The registration must be completed by email before the course begins, including proof of payment; once the registration deadline has passed, you will receive a confirmation email with further information about the course.

You can find the current dates, the registration period, the course fee and all other details here:

If there is a delay in the issue of your visa, please inform the department using the visa delay form – stating your name, matriculation number, study programme and your expected arrival date (even if this has not yet been finalised). This will let the department know when to expect your arrival. Please communicate exclusively via your university email address, as messages from other providers may not be delivered reliably for security reasons.
