Public Health doctoral research centre
The Public Health doctoral research centre at Fulda University of Applied Sciences has been awarding the Doctor of Public Health (Dr. P.H.) doctoral degree since 2017. By awarding an independent right to award doctoral degrees to a university of applied sciences, the State of Hesse has recognised Fulda University of Applied Sciences’ particular strength in public health research. This Doctor of Public Health degree can be obtained at five universities in Germany (Bielefeld, Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hanover) and in Fulda. Internationally, the Doctor of Public Health degree enjoys a high reputation; for example, it is awarded by the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley, the School of Public Health at Harvard University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) at the University of London.
