Lecture and Christmas Party at the FGCSS

At the end of the year, the Fulda Graduate Centre of Social Sciences (FGCSS) hosted an event that combined an insightful academic presentation with a festive celebration. On 9 December 2024, we had the honor of welcoming Prof. Dr. Rafael Biermann from Friedrich Schiller University Jena for a presentation on the topic "Calls for Peace in a World of Turmoil: Insights from Peace and Conflict Studies".

Prof. Dr. Biermann shared his extensive knowledge on international conflicts, offering practical perspectives and insights on achieving peace in today's complex world. His analysis sparked meaningful discussions which were followed by an Q&A session where participants had the opportunity to exchange ideas with the professor.

Afterthe  academic part of the course, attendees gathered  for the FGCSS Christmas celebration, with traditional treats, mulled wine and a warm holiday atmosphere. It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate, reflect on the past year and strengthen our academic community.
