Before you start your university studies, preparatory courses can help you refresh your existing knowledge and fill any knowledge gaps. To help you get off to a good start with your university studies, the Department of Electrical Engineering offers a preliminary course in mathematics.

Information sessions
need2know: BEFORE the start of the semester
Are you curious about how the semester works or how to handle course enrolment? Does your student user identification not work when logging into Horstl? Did you not realise that you have to take a course yourself, or that you need a student user identification? Then you’re warmly invited to our regular information sessions! Here you’ll get all the information you need, get to know your Student Council (Stuko) and have the chance to ask questions in a relaxed atmosphere. Attendance is recommended.
Induction Week

For our first-year students on Bachelor's degree and Master's programmes, the university studies begin in the week of 12 October 2026 with information events, compulsory safety briefings and the first introductory lectures.
