Nutritional responsibility in the area of conflict between society and the individual.
Topic/content
Meat is one of the main drivers of growth in nutrition and food production. For this reason, a predominantly vegetarian diet is considered by researchers to be an effective approach to counteracting problems caused by food production. Calls to adapt individual consumption practices are often the result of such assessments and entail explicit or implicit attributions of responsibility. This dissertation examines from a nutritional biographical perspective how individuals from different social milieus and with different nutritional practices experience these processes of responsibilisation. The focus here is on the question of where and what opportunities and obstacles pass in terms of a socio-ecological transformation in different milieus.
