TOMORROWS FOOD IS OUR FUTURE - BE PART OF

Today, we take many raw materials such as spices and exotic fruits for granted, because food and its ingredients have long been sold far beyond their region of origin.
This means that food is often produced and processed in a transnational context. Many food technologists work in an international environment. The Department of Food Technology supports and lives international relations in many ways:

  • Bachelor's programmes in Food Technology and Industrial Engineering Food with an English-language option
  • Bachelor's programme: Food Technology PLUS with integrated year abroad
  • Bachelor's programme International Engineering / Science and Engineering
  • Research and teaching cooperation with European and non-European universities
  • Cooperation in research, development and technology transfer with European and non-European institutions
  • Global university studies and practical placements for students - often in exchange programmes
  • Above-average proportion of international students
  • Membership of international organisations

For further information on studying abroad and exchange programmes, please contact Swati Bajaj or the staff of the International Office at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

Internship abroad - Erasmus Placement

A work placement abroad offers them the ideal opportunity to do this. Whether in industry or in a laboratory at our partner university, they can get a taste of work processes, research projects and other cultures.

In addition to gaining an insight into their future working life, they improve their foreign language skills, personal professionally oriented and international competences.

Students who would like to gain practical experience abroad in Europe during their university studies or after their degree have the opportunity to receive organisational and financial support as well as supervision as part of the Erasmus program. The contact person for Erasmus internships is Gideon Zoller.

Internships outside Europe can be supported by the DAAD's PROMOS scholarship. Please contact the International Office directly.

A tip - The DAAD brochure Pathways to work placement abroad is very helpful and is available from Ms Ossenkopp-Wetzig at the International Office or online at: Pathways to an internship abroad
