Student association council

As part of student self-management, the LT student association council is your annually elected representative in university policy matters and in the event of problems or other concerns.

According to the motto "by students - for students", we work as a link between you, the student body of the LT department and the professors, lecturers and other committees of the university.

We also try to make your everyday life as a student a little more pleasant, apart from courses etc.. That's why we offer various courses during the semester, such as a Christmas party, or take part in the university festival in the summer semester with our own program.

Above all, our commitment is to you! However, this also requires the help of many hands. We are therefore happy to welcome anyone who would like to join us and warmly welcome every new face to our ranks.

If we have piqued your interest, you need help or have suggestions, please come to our weekly meeting

Every Wednesday, 1.30 pm, Building 31 / 109

or write us an email to fsr.lt(at)hs-fulda.org

We look forward to seeing you!

Support for first-year students

The transition from school/professional training to university is associated with various changes. It is characterised in particular by the transfer from external responsibility to personal responsibility with the resulting demands and freedom.

The mentoring system is a supervision and support programme specifically for first-year students. The close contact with mentors (students from higher semesters) is intended to make it easier for them to find their way around everyday life as a student in general and in their university studies in the Department of Food Technology.

Aims of the mentoring system:

  • to optimise the supervision of students
  • to deepen the contact between students across semesters
  • to provide orientation in dealing with the freedoms of university studies
  • to support students with any initial difficulties during the introductory phase of their studies
  • to reduce the drop-out rate
