Research Projects

Member of the Climate Change and Health WG since 2019 with research on:

  • Effectiveness of heat action plans
  • Critical evaluation of epidemiological studies on heat-associated morbidity and mortality (method development)
  • NoWoHit: Joint project of the "German Adaptation Strategy to Climate Change" (DAS): "Surveillance of emergency contacts during heat waves in Worms". Funding: Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU) based on a resolution of the German Bundestag within the framework of the BMU programme "Adaptation to Climate Change" with the focus on "Municipal Lighthouse Projects". (together with Prof. Dr. Henny Annette Grewe and Prof. Dr. Katharina Rathmann)
  • Heat Action Plan for the Federal State of Brandenburg on behalf of the Ministry of Social Affairs (together with Prof. Dr. Henny Annette Grewe, GreenAdapt Gesellschaft für Klimaanpassung mbH, Gesellschaft für sozio:ökonomische Forschung (GSF).
