Campus Day at Fulda University of Applied Sciences: Focus on health and nutrition

17 Apr 2024

Innovative insights and exciting opportunities for prospective students

This week, the health science department once again opened its doors to around 100 bright students from years 11-13 who wanted to take a look behind the scenes of the health industry. Under the topic "Health and Nutrition", the departments of Health Sciences, Food and Consumer Sciences presented exciting offers for those interested.

The campus day offered a varied programme that gave young visitors an insight into seven different study programmes and potential professional fields in the health sector. From hands-on games to interactive presentations, the day offered numerous opportunities to familiarise themselves with the broad spectrum of health science. Marius Gröse, student:"I didn't even know there were so many study programmes in the health sector!"

The skills and simulation labs, in which the students were able to gain practical experience, were particularly impressive. Julius Schmitt, student: "I'm really impressed by the resources at the university, especially the skills and simulation labs! Now I have a better picture of what a dual study programme in the healthcare industry can be like."

In the foyer, they relaxed and exchanged ideas over delicious crêpes and popcorn. Leni Koch, student: "The campus day was very inspiring! I had the opportunity to talk to students who told me about their start to their studies in Fulda. That's helpful, of course, because this is a completely new world for us." The Sports Centre offered exciting games, while the Programme Coordination Offices were on hand to answer questions and offer advisory services.

The department's aim is to support and inspire young people on their professional appointments. The Campus Day was a complete success! The starting signal for the next Campus Day will be given soon. Register with your classes in good time.
