Festive greetings from the Dean's Office
18 Dec 2024
Dear colleagues
dear students,
An eventful year is now almost behind us. Fulda University of Applied Sciences celebrated its 50th birthday this year. In autumn, we said goodbye to our graduates and welcomed new students. Once again, it is clear that we have exceptionally good conditions for university studies and Teaching in our building, which is no longer quite so new. Staffing levels, at least among professors, have also never been as good as they are today.
At the same time, there are signs on the horizon that the Ministry is likely to cut funding in 2025 and that we will have to scrutinise some of our expenditure. We will do everything we can to ensure that these restrictions are felt as little as possible by students and staff at the department. At the same time, we will continue to develop our study programmes. For example, the department's first English-only programmes offered, the Bachelor's degree in Global Health, will begin in the summer semester of 2025.
As Dean's Office of the department, we would like to thank all employees of the department for their tireless commitment in these challenging times. We wish you all a relaxing holiday season with your loved ones and a healthy and peaceful 2025.
Prof Dr Stefan Greß (Dean)
Prof Dr Margit Christiansen (Dean of Studies)
Prof Dr Udo Wolf (Pro-Dean)
