Start of studies at the Department of Health Sciences
23 Oct 2023
The Department of Applied Sciences welcomed around 350 of the approximately 1,900 new students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences for the 2023/2024 winter semester.
President Prof Dr Karim Khakzar officially kicked off the induction week with a welcome address. The faculty members had a varied program ready for the newcomers to ensure they had as smooth a start to their studies as possible.
On their first day at the department, they got to know their mentors and the respective degree programme teams. Dean Prof Dr Stefan Greß rounded off the first day with his welcoming words. The department made a contribution to sustainable and healthy student life with its special welcome gift. Packed with their new glass bottles, satisfied new students left Mühle Heyl.
Over the next few days, numerous first-year students could be seen at the Info Café, on the Nebolus campus tour, at the "Games without Borders" indoor tournament and on the traditional pub crawl. The "newcomers" visibly enjoyed the cultural offers and expanded their network in just a few days. At the welcome event "Rock it together", the international students took centre stage and enjoyed special attention.
We are very happy about the open and motivated students who have chosen our study programmes and want to face the challenges of the present and future together with us.
The Department of Health Sciences now offers 9 Bachelor's degrees and 4 Master's programmes with different specialisations.
Have we been able to arouse your curiosity about our study programmes? The next information events on the various study programmes are already scheduled. You are cordially invited!
