doctoral project
Mixed-methods study on the mental health of students on the dual Bachelor's programme in midwifery.
Identification of requirements and resources and derivation of strategies for prevention and health promotion.
Topic/content
This doctoral project investigates the mental health of midwifery students on dual Bachelor's programmes in Germany. The aim is to identify specific study-related requirements and resources that are associated with the mental health of midwifery students. A mixed-methods approach is used to record the perceived study-related requirements and resources of midwifery students in an app-based diary study, an online-based cross-sectional survey and a participatory workshop. The results will be used to derive starting points for future ideas for the further development of a health-promoting midwifery degree programme and on the basis of which targeted strategies for the long-term funding of midwifery students' mental health can be developed.
