On 12 June 2014, the final conference of the Safer Care project on the topic "Countering violence against older people together - findings, challenges and perspectives" took place in Hall 8 of Fulda University of Applied Sciences. The results of the project were presented and discussed with experts from related projects. A balance sheet was drawn up of what has been achieved and what still needs to be done and what legal changes are necessary.

On 04 June2013 , Prof. Dr. Berzlanovich, from the Department of Forensic Medicine in Vienna, gave a lecture at Fulda University of Applied Sciences on the topic of violence against elderly people in need of care

You can find more information here...On 3 June this year, an expert conference took place on the topics of prevention, intervention and documentation of violence and suspected cases of violence in the context of outpatient care for older people in need of care. Eight experts from the fields of the care and justice system were invited, who discussed these main topics together with the guests.
Further information and links to the video recordings can be found here...On 31 May / 1 June 2012, a European conference on the topic of the need for care in old age and violence took place at the University of Applied Sciences in Fulda. Representatives of the WHO, representatives of European research associations and aid organisations as well as experts from Germany gave lectures and discussed with the guests ways to prevent violence.
On the second day of the conference, 22 experts from research and practice formulated a Fulda Declaration with demands on politics, research and practice. In this declaration, they name necessary changes in order to better recognise violence against older people in need of care and to be able to guarantee protection. The
Dr Nivedita Prasad gave a guest lecture on Tuesday, 8 November 2011. Dr. Prasad is a research assistant at Ban Ying (Coordination and Counselling Centre against Human Trafficking) and works as a university lecturer on topics such as racism, migration, discrimination and human rights. In 2008, she wrote her doctoral thesis on "Violence against migrant women.
