Library items day : Fulda University of Applied Sciences at Hessentag 2026
The University, State and Public Library (HLSB) Fulda is a Central University Administration of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences. On the one hand, it ensures the supply of information and knowledge to instructors and students at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, and on the other hand, it fulfils state library tasks together with four other libraries in Hesse. In cooperation with the city of Fulda, it also fulfils municipal library tasks.

Our offer ranges from books, magazines and newspapers to audio books, films, music and games. The HLSB also offers a wide range of electronic library items. In addition to loans, the library is a place to learn. Regular courses, workshops and exhibitions are organised at both locations. We will be happy to answer your questions and provide you with information about our wide range of offers.
Experience 3D printing live
from 10 am to 7 pm
We will bring along a 3D printer and show you how a real object is created layer by layer from a digital template. During the day, we will continuously print several copies of Sitta the dog. As soon as a print is finished, you are welcome to take the figurine with you - fresh from the printer and ideal as a small souvenir. (While stocks last.)

Decipher history
from 10 am to 7 pm
Immerse yourself in the world of Adam Joseph Schwank, the Fulda author, lawyer and benefactor who left behind a unique literary legacy with his work "Nur ein Hundeleben" (1820-1902). Accompany Schwank and his faithful dog Sitta on a digital adventure through Fulda. Your task? Decipher the mysterious characters of the German Kurrenten script, which characterised everyday writing at the time, but which only a few people know today. Test your transcription skills in our educational game and experience history at first hand.
