For licenced e-books, terms of use are set out in a contract with the provider. These terms are usually based on copyright law. Accordingly, users of the University and State Library have the right to download individual texts or essays and are allowed to save them for their own scientific use or make paper copies. Disclosure to third parties and the commercial use of this data are prohibited.
Accessing the electronic media constitutes acceptance of these terms of use.

Novels and books on general education are also available on the Onleihe platform via digital rights management (DRM). Books can be temporarily downloaded.
