The "Equal Opportunities and Diversity" office combines the overlapping fields of anti-discrimination, diversity, gender equality, interculturality/ cultural reflexive and equal opportunities in academic careers. We advise and support the departments, our colleagues in the university administration, students and junior researchers on these topics and also offer our own courses and information formats.

Events and workshops

The women@ event series supports female students from all departments at Fulda University of Applied Sciences in their personal and professional development. The aim is to expand personal competences and facilitate the entry into professional life. Every semester, various free and extra-curricular workshops are organised on changing topics.

To the programme

Every year in the summer semester, the university takes part in the Diversity Day to raise awareness of various aspects of diversity and to get into conversation with each other. Whether accesibility, racism or social background - each year the focus is on a different topic.

The university has set itself the goal of supporting the successful handling of interculturality to a greater extent. Advisory and support services

Would you like to find out more about the topic of anti-discrimination or have you experienced discrimination yourself? The university's Anti-Discrimination Office offers you advisory services and support. Together we will reflect on the incident, point out possible courses of action, help you decide on further steps and accompany you through the process.

The office of Representative for Women's Affairs and Gender Equality at Fulda University of Applied Sciences is held by two representatives and their deputies. The Representatives for Women's Affairs and Gender Equality are involved in appointment and recruitment procedures, advise the university's committees and facilities and initiate programs for equal opportunities and the advancement of women. The range of tasks also includes advisory services for students, employees, professors and applicants.
