Fulda University of Applied Sciences is one of the strongest research universities in Germany and has the independent right to award doctorates. As a UAS (university of applied sciences), transfer plays a key role: successful work in research, development and transfer projects has resulted in long-standing and successful cooperative relationships with numerous practical placement partners from civil society, politics, business and culture - regionally, nationally and at European and international level.

The Research and Transfer department sees itself as a mediator between practice and the university. Among other things, it supports the initiation and supervision of research projects, the development of partnerships within the framework of dual study programmes, the supervision of doctoral degrees and the organisation of transfer events at the University Centre.
