Which committees exist?

The Senate of Fulda University of Applied Sciences consists of members from all groups (professors, academic and administrative-technical members, and students). It advises on matters of research, teaching and study that affect the entire university and are of fundamental importance. The Senate supervises the management of the Presidential Board.

The Departmental Council (FBR) consists of members from all groups (professors, scientific and administrative-technical members, and students). It advises on matters of fundamental importance to a department and is responsible, in particular, for issuing examination regulations and deciding on appointment proposals for new professors.

The Student Parliament (StuPa) consists of 19 students from the 8 departments. It is the highest decision-making body in student self-administration and the elected representative of all students. It elects and controls the General Student Committee. The student parliament decides on the statutes of the student body and other regulations, as well as the budget. In addition, the student parliament is also the place for political debates on university policy issues and concerns of the student body.

The Student Association Council (FSR) consists of students of a department; it represents the professional concerns and university-political interests of the students of the department.


Who can vote?

All students of the university are eligible to vote for the Senate and the Student Parliament; the students of a department elect the student representatives for the Departmental Council and the Student Association Council.


Who can run for office?

All students can run for the Senate and the StuPa and can also run for the Departmental Council and the Student Association Council of their respective department.


How do I access the election proposal lists?

The election proposals must be submitted digitally by December 15, 2022, 12:00 noon. The respective lists with the candidates are coordinated by so-called list leaders; please inform yourself at your student council!


When does the election take place?

Elections to the committees will take place online as electronic elections. The election date is Tuesday, January 24, 2023, 12:00 noon to Tuesday, February 07, 2023, 12:00 noon. You will receive further information on the election in January 2023 via the various communication channels.
