A historic city in the heart of Germany

A historic city founded in the year 744, Fulda today has a population of 68,000. Fulda‘s baroque ­quarter is one of the most beautiful in Germany and attracts visitors from all over the world.

Fulda enjoys ideal transport connections. One of Europe‘s principal international airports, Frankfurt International, is just over an hour away by car or train. Other major cities in Germany, such as Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg or Munich, are within easy reach and no more than three hours away by train.

Welcoming city life

There are many cafés, pubs and bars in the picturesque Old Town - as well as a variety of shops and boutiques. The city's cultural life has something for everyone. The Fulda Castle Theatre regularly performs classical and modern dramas, museums provide an in-depth look at the region's past and the Christmas Market draws visitors from near and far. The city also boasts several beautiful parks and gardens with ample opportunity for relaxing walks and spending time out of doors.
