Finding your way to Fulda

By plane

Fulda is located near Frankfurt International Airport, a regional and European transport hub with connections spanning the globe. From the airport, Fulda can be reached by train in about 80 minutes. 



By train

Fulda is an important stop in the high-speed ICE network. It is easy to reach by train from all major German cities especially Frankfurt ant its International Airport. Up-to-date timetables can be found on the website of  Deutsche Bahn.



By car

Two motorways (Autobahn) run by Fulda, the A7 and the A66.

Directions from the A7
Take the exit "Fulda Nord". Continue in the direction of "Stadtmitte" (city centre)/Leipziger Strasse and turn right into Moltkestrasse, following the signs to "Hochschule" (University of Applied Sciences).

Directions from the A66 (coming from Frankfurt)
Follow Fulda Nord U69 and take the Leipziger Strasse exit. Turn right into Moltkestrasse and follow the signs to "Hochschule" ( University of Applied Sciences).



By long-distance bus

Fulda is connected to the long-distance FlixBus network. All other information on the stops and routes can be found on the provider's website.



By bus

From Fulda railway station, follow the signs to ZOB (central bus station). Take city bus No 6, heading for Lehnerz, Lehnerz/Niesig, Bernhards/Dietershan or Marbach.

Get off at the stop "Hochschule".

The university is only a 20-minute walk from the central railway/bus station (Hauptbahnhof / ZOB).



Fulda University is about a 20-minute walk from the central railway station. The map on the right shows the location of the International Office on the university´s campus.

Fulda is located in the centre of Germany.  Once you’ve arrived, you’ll find it easy to get around Fulda by public transport or on foot.
