Eligibility and application

If you are thinking about coming to Fulda University as an exchange student, please contact your home university's international office to find out about any conditions or special requirements that you might need to fulfil before studying here.

Step 1: Nomination

If you are interested in studying at Hochschule Fulda as an exchange student, please contact the Erasmus Coordinator at your home university. We need the official nomination sent by email to maria.campuzano(at)hs-fulda.de with the following information

Name, SURNAME
Gender
E-mail address
Study field
Level of Study (Bachelor or Master)
Exchange period (winter, spring semester or the whole academic year)

The nomination should be sent at the latest by 15 May for the winter semester and the whole academic year and by November 15 for the summer semester.

Step 2: Complete the application

To register as Erasmus+ student, please download the application form and complete it. Print it out, sign it , get your coordinator to sign it and then email it back with the following attachments:

  • A copy of your national ID card or passport  
  • Online Learning Agreement signed by your home university. On behalf of Fulda University of Applied Sciences the learning agreement will be signed by your departmental coordinator (https://www.learning-agreement.eu).
  • University transcript of records in English or German
  • Language certificates demonstrating your knowledge of German and/or English (if available) 
  • CV 
  • European Health Insurance Card or Form T/A11 (valid for the whole period of your exchange)

Step 3: Submit your application

Please send the application form and all attachments by email (digital files) to:

The application deadlines are:

1 June for enrolment in the following winter semester (October to February)
1 December for enrolment in the following summer semester (April to July)

Step 4: Check the language requirements

If you plan to take courses taught in German - B1 certificate

If you plan to take courses taught in English - B2 certificate

If you would like to improve your German skills while your are here, the Department of Social and Cultural Studies runs German language courses during the semester for international students. The exact dates and times can be found in the list of classes or here. If you wish to attend an intensive German course before the start of the winter semester, you may register for the International Summer University which takes place in Fulda each summer.

Departmental Coordinator

Each department that participates in the Erasmus+ programme has a dedicated Departmental Coordinator. This is the first contact for students that have academic questions. They will also inform you who will sign your Learning Agreement on behalf of the receiving institution. After your enrolment at Hochschule Fulda, please make an appointment with them to get your time table and further information.
