Traveling by Airplane
Closest airport: Frankfurt Main International Airport
Arriving at Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 1:
- Collect your luggage on the arrival level
- Follow signs to “Regionalbahnhof” (= regional train station)
- Go to “Reisezentrum” (= travel center) or the ticket vending machine and purchase a train ticket to Fulda (the cheapest ticket – by “RE”-train - currently costs € 17,40. If you're traveling with a group, the day pass "Hessenticket" at ~€ 31 is a better deal: up to five people can ride)
- Take “S-Bahn” (= city railway) S 8 or S 9 from track 1 to “Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof” (= main train station); journey time approx. 10 minutes
- Get off S-Bahn at Hauptbahnhof and take a train (Regionalexpress - RE) to Fulda. Trains run every hour, journey time is 1 h 20 min.
Arriving at Frankfurt Airport, Terminal 2:
- Collect your luggage on the arrival level
- Follow signs “Bahnhöfe via Sky Line” (= train station via Sky Line)
- Then follow signs to “Regionalbahnhof” (= regional train station)
- continue as described above
Do not take an ICE or IC train if you have purchased the ticket for currently € 17,40 or the Hessen ticket - they are not valid on those!Make sure you don't board a train without a valid ticket - you may be charged up to € 60!

On the ISU-Arrival Day the ISU-Registration Office will be open from 8am till 2pm at the café mea mea on the upper level of “Fulda Hauptbahnhof”. Please check in there when you arrive (see Dates & Arrival Day).
Traveling by Train
Train connections to Fulda are excellent. You can find out your travel itinerary in the internet under www.bahn.de. Be careful to enter the right date. Train schedules change in June.
On the ISU-Arrival Day the ISU-Registration Office will be open from 8am till 2pm at “Fulda Hauptbahnhof” (= Fulda main train station). Please check in there when you arrive (see Dates and Arrival Day)
Traveling by Bus
Tour operators offering long distance bus services to Fulda include:

- Eurolines
If you travel to Fulda by bus, you will arrive in the bus terminal which is located just next to “Fulda Hauptbahnhof” (= Fulda main train station).
