Apply to Pre-Study Fulda
Eligibility
The following eligibility criteria apply:
direct university entrance qualification: Students must be eligible for admission to university in Germany. We will assess this after receiving your application; check to see if you meet the requirements on the DAAD´s admission database.
Academic qualification for your chosen degree programme: You should be qualified for admission to your chosen degree programme (certain gaps in specialised knowledge will be covered through Fulda Pre-Study). An overview of all study programmes with course contents and requirements is available on our website.
Language requirements
Beginners' course: No previous language skills required
Course date: 2 May until 15 August 2023
Application deadline: 15 April (only if you are already in Germany); please contact coordinator for application
B1 Course: German language skills at A2 level (passed exam)
Course date: 11 April until 10 July 2023
Application deadline: 15 January (if visa required); 15 March (non visa-applicants)*
B2 course: German language skills at B1 level (CEFR)
This can be certified by:
- B1 Goethe certificate
- telc Deutsch B1 certificate
- TestDaF with TDN 3 in at least one of the four sections
- University's Certificate
Course dates: 11 April 2023 - 28 July 2023
Application deadline: 15 January (if visa required); 15 March (non visa-applicants)*
DSH course: German skills at B2 level (CEFR). This can be certified by:
- B2 Goethe certificate
- telc Deutsch B2 certificate
- TestDaF with TDN 3 in all four sections
- University's Certificate
- DSH 1
Course dates: 27 March until 28 July 2023
Application deadline: 15 January (if visa required); 15 March (non visa-applicants)*
*or when all places have been filled.
Equivalent certificates can be recognised on an individual basis; a language test at Fulda University may be arranged if available (only possible if you are already in Germany).
Uni-assist-application fee will be refunded to participants.
Application process
Qualified applicants should complete the online application. You will need to present the following documents with your application (pdf document not bigger than 5 MB):
- Your secondary school leaving certificate including grades (original language and translated German/English)
- Transcripts of Records of your study semesters, if any (original language and translated German/English)
- used grading scale of University where you have studied
- Your university graduation certificate, if any (original language and translated German/English)
- Certificates documenting your German language proficiency
- Copy of your (conditional) admission to study at Fulda University, if any
- For the Master's programmes in "MSc International Management", "MA Human Rights in Politics, Law and Society" and " MA Intercultural Communication and European Studies", proof of English language proficiency and a letter of motivation (german/english)
Original documents have to be provided after arrival.
