Weekend excursion to the Rhön mountains

New university, new town, new region. At the end of the orientation week, we would like to explore Fulda´s surroundings together. What could be better than an excursion to the beautiful Rhön mountains. Famously known as the "land of open distances"  the Rhön is one of Central Europe's loveliest areas for natural beauty and recreation. The unspoilt landscape with its basaltine hilltops of ancient vulcanic origin, with endless meadows and lonely plateaus, dark high moor, extensive woodlands and clear streams in calm valleys occupies a special place in the diversity of Germany's mountain ranges.

From Friday, April 8th, until Sunday, April 10th,  the participants can expect an exciting programme with different activities to get to know their new fellow students, strenghten their intercultural competences, smell some mountain air and last but not least, to have a lot of fun.

Please note: The current Covid rules for participation will be posted here in time before the excursion, as for now there is no prediction possible about the situation then. Most likely will be the condition that participants are who are officially vaccinated with an EU approved vaccine, recently recovered and/or who have a negative test result not older than 24 hours.

Where are we going?
