You studied in your home country and now want to continue your studies in Germany? Or you have a school-leaving qualification with which you can study in your home country and now want to go to a German university?

The prerequisite for taking up studies is a higher education entrance qualification in Germany. If the school-leaving certificate that entitles you to study in your home country is not sufficient, you can prepare for your chosen field of study in the"Pre-College" preparation programme or at the Studienkolleg Kassel.

Language skills

Most of the study programmes at Fulda University of Applied Sciences are offered in German. This means that you need very good German skills to understand a seminar or lecture in German. As a rule, German skills at level C1 are required. Evidence that you have passed the "German language test for admission to university (DSH)" at level 2 will be recognised. Information on the DSH examination can be found here.

In addition, there are study programmes at the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology whose "Integra" study variant only requires German skills at B2 level.

There are also some study programmes that are offered in English. You will need appropriate English skills for these programmes.

Fulda University of Applied Sciences also offers bilingual study programmes for which both very good German and English skills are required.
