Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)

Short-term mobility - Blended Intensive Programme (BIP)

As a student at Fulda University of Applied Sciences, you can take part in Erasmus+-funded short-term mobility programmes. A BIP is a virtual course that is supplemented by a 5-30 day on-campus stage abroad. You will earn at least 3 ECTS credits.

You can receive an Erasmus+ grant of 79 euros per day for the duration of the on-campus stage at the partner university. Additional financial grants for students with fewer opportunities as well as for environmentally friendly travel and associated additional travel days can be applied for. You will receive information on this upon approval of your attendance and funding.

Please note that in the current study phase, the total funding period of 12 months with Erasmus+ (for internship and university studies) must not yet be exhausted. In addition, simultaneous funding through Erasmus studies and Erasmus+ internship or Erasmus studies and PROMOS is not possible. In general, participants in the Erasmus programme cannot receive additional funding from EU funds at the same time.
You can take part in an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive program a maximum of twice per study phase (Bachelor's degree or Master's degree), depending on the availability of funds.

How do I apply?
Your department calls for proposals for Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programs directly (e.g. via moodle). Further options for Erasmus+ BIP can also be found on the E³UDRES² website. Erasmus+ BIPs are usually called for proposals for specific study programmes.
You must apply via our online application portal Mobility Online, where you will only be shown the BIPs currently available for your study programme. Please contact your coordinator for international affairs or the E³UDRES² team for information on the conditions of participation and recognition options.

What about the organisation of travel and accommodation?
You will generally have to organise your own travel and accommodation. The partner university will provide information on accommodation options if necessary.

Participating in the E³UDRES² BIP 'Technological Solutions for Healthy Development' at the Instituto Politécnico de Setubal was truly one of the best experiences of my life. Academically, it was highly rewarding to work on real-world challenges, but what made it unforgettable was the people. I had the opportunity to meet amazing students from all across Europe, learn about different cultures, and make Lasting friendships. Ultimately, this program was deeply meaningful for me, broadening my academic perspective and leaving me with a truly global mindset.

Participating in the BIP at JAMK has given me valuable insights into the practical application of the circular economy in supply chains and business models. It was a great experience to work with students from different European universities, explore the Finnish approach to sustainability and connect with local companies committed to circular economy. One of the highlights was the traditional sauna evening followed by an unforgettable ice bath in the lake - a true Finnish cultural experience.
