Erasmus+ for university staff

As a guest lecturer abroad

Guest lecturers strengthen the European dimension of the host university through their stay, complement its teaching and impart their expertise to students who do not want to or cannot study abroad. Staff from foreign companies and organisations can also be invited to teach at German universities.

Conditions and application

  • The programme supports stays
    • at a foreign partner university with a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) or
    • in the programme countries at foreign facilities that are active in the labour market or in the fields of education, professional training or youth.

  • If possible, the stay should be based on the development of joint study programmes at the partner universities as well as the exchange of teaching content and methods.
  • The teaching stay lasts between two days and two months (excluding travelling time); the teaching workload is at least 8 hours per stay or per week or part thereof. A maximum of 5 working days are financially supported at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

Application

  • Please apply by 31 August to the coordinator for international affairs in your department for the following academic year (funding period: 1 October - 30 September).

Further education abroad

Professional exchange, new perspectives, expansion of networks and strengthening of international competence - use the opportunity of a stay abroad. For a stronger internationalisation of the university, Erasmus+ enables further education and training in the European programme countries. For example, language courses, study visits, work shadowing and job shadowing are funded.

University staff from all areas:

  • General and technical administration
  • Library
  • Departments (Secretariat, Coordination for International Affairs or Programme Coordination Office)
  • Finance department
  • Research and Transfer
  • Facilities Management
  • International Office
  • PR Department
  • Human Resources Management
  • IT Support
  • Student Counselling
  • Continuing education

Conditions

  • The host university has a valid Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) or is an institution based in the other programme country that is active in the labour market or in the fields of general and professional education or youth.
  • Periods abroad of 5 working days are supported.

  • Please apply by 4 October via your supervisor or dean in the human resources department by email to Michaela Gassmann (michaela.gassmann@verw.hs-fulda.de), stating your destination country and the planned mobility programme for the following academic year.

Selection criteria

  • Quality and relevance of the project to the applicant's field of work
  • Added value for the division or department and the university as a whole

In the selection of applications of equal aptitude, preference will be given to those who wish to undertake an Erasmus staff mobility programme for the first time in the current year.

Unfortunately, applications for the further education of instructors in languages cannot be considered.
