Welcome to the Fulda University of Applied Sciences! We will be happy to help you find accommodation in Fulda and the surrounding area for the duration of your university studies.
Step 1: Obtain information. Send us a short email as soon as possible to Info-accommodation(at)hs-fulda.de and we will send you an overview of all accommodation options - halls of residence, private flats or short-term accommodation, as well as valuable tips on finding accommodation.
Step 2: Apply directly to the halls of residence or private landlords (e.g. Studierendenwerk Gießen or private halls of residence, Kleinanzeigen.de, wg-gesucht.de). Don't worry, it's easier than it sounds.
Step 3: We are here to support you. We'll add you to our mailing list and forward you any private offers we receive so you don't miss out.
We're here to help and advise you with any questions you may have about finding accommodation, but the application procedure is your own responsibility.
Four important notes:
- We are not the Studierendenwerk Gießen!
- The University of Fulda itself does not rent out flats or conclude tenancy agreements. All contracts are concluded directly with the landlords.
- Please also look for accommodation in small towns and villages and extend your search radius. Rents here are often lower than in the city centre and the Fulda districts, and with the regional trains RE 50 towards Frankfurt, e.g. Neuhof, Flieden station, RB 5 towards Kassel, e.g. Hünfeld, Burghaun station and RB 45 towards Alsfeld, e.g. Großenlüder station, you can often reach the university just as quickly or even more quickly than if you lived in a Fulda district.
