Freemover

If you do not wish to spend your stay abroad at one of the partner universities of Fulda University of Applied Sciences, you can apply independently to a university of your choice as a freemover. As tuition fees are usually charged in this case, the financing should already be secured before you apply. Please inform yourself at an early stage at your chosen university about the language requirements, documents to be submitted and application deadlines.

Please note the following points:

Clarify with the International Coordinator of the departments whether your chosen university is recognised for study abroad and whether you will find suitable modules there. Contact your departmental coordinator and arrange a meeting before applying. Bring along a detailed course description for each module. This must show what content is taught in the module and how many credits and/or credithours are awarded for the individual module at the foreign university.

As soon as you have received a place as a freemover from the foreign university, please register in Mobility Online:

Mobility Online GermanRegistration

Mobility Online EnglishRegistration

There you will find your personal workflow, in which you will also find, for example, the template for the Learning Agreement.

After registering, always log in to Mobility Online using the link sent to you in your registration email or this direct login link.

After your return, you submit the application for recognition together with the Transcript of Records of the host university (overview of grades) via your workflow in Mobility Online. After the Transcript of Records has been checked, the approved application for recognition will be forwarded to the Student Administration Office. There, the achievements and, if applicable, the grades are entered into HORSTL.

Furthermore, we would be pleased if you could answer some questions about your stay in Mobility Online and provide us with a field report.
