At the Business.Graduation 2026 ceremony on May 27, the Department of Business at Fulda University of Applied Sciences honored 103 bachelor's and master's graduates. More than 400 guests gathered in the historic Orangery of the Maritim Hotel Fulda to celebrate this important milestone together.

A Festive Setting for a Significant Achievement
Together with their families, friends, faculty members, and university staff, the graduates reflected on their academic journey and celebrated the successful completion of an important chapter in their lives.

The ceremony was opened by the President of Fulda University of Applied Sciences, Prof. Dr. Karim Khakzar, and the Dean of the Department of Business, Prof. Dr. Joanna Ożga. In their welcoming remarks, they acknowledged the graduates’ achievements and offered inspiration for their future professional and personal paths.

Prof. Dr. Karim Khakzar emphasized the importance of responsibility, democratic values, and civic engagement. Prof. Dr. Joanna Ożga focused on the graduates’ personal development, highlighting courage, curiosity, and the willingness to actively shape change.

Inspiration for the Future
A special highlight of the event was the keynote speech delivered by Fabiula Hanauer, an alumna of the Department of Business who now works at Audi. Under the title “The Power of Mindset – Why Attitude Has Become the Most Important Resource for Navigating Constant Change,” she spoke about personal growth, mental resilience, and the importance of a conscious mindset in an ever-changing world of work.

The ceremony was moderated by Sevda Rommel, who guided guests through the program and introduced the individual elements of the event.

Medals, Certificates, and Celebration
Another memorable moment was the ceremonial presentation of departmental medals and certificates to the graduates. Accompanied by enthusiastic applause, their academic achievements were formally recognized before they gathered for the traditional group photograph.

The celebration concluded with a festive get-together featuring live music, culinary specialties, and many opportunities for conversation and networking.

Each year, the Business.Graduation offers graduates of the Department of Business the opportunity to celebrate their academic success together with family, friends, faculty members, and university staff, while reflecting on their shared experiences and accomplishments.
