Obituary for Christoph Klotter

Fulda University of Applied Sciences mourns the loss of Prof. Dr. Johann Christoph Klotter, who passed away at the age of 67.

Prof. Dr. Klotter taught the subject area of "Health and Nutritional Psychology" at the Department of Oecotrophology since 2001 and conducted research on a variety of topics in psychology and health promotion, nutritional communication and nutritional behavior. He was also Dean of the Faculty from 2006 to 2011 and subsequently Vice President for Teaching and Studies at Fulda University of Applied Sciences until 2014. With his commitment and work, he played a key role in shaping the development of the department and the university. Among other things, he campaigned for the establishment of a psychosocial counseling center at the university. He was also very involved in the nutritional psychology course. He retired in March 2022.

With his passing, Fulda University of Applied Sciences and the Department of Nutritional Sciences in particular have lost a committed educator and a successful, nationally recognized scientist who earned the respect and recognition of students and colleagues alike thanks to his professional expertise and personality.

We extend our deepest sympathy to his family. We will honor his memory.
