Compensation for disadvantages in examination performance
Compensation for disadvantages can be claimed by students if they have a chronic illness or a disability and are therefore unable to complete the examination performance in the prescribed form and/or duration, or can only complete it in part. The examination performance is then adapted by using technical aids, a different type of examination or a longer processing time (see Section 21 (1) ABPO). Neither the content nor the level of difficulty of the social services: benefits are changed by compensation for disadvantages, only the framework conditions are modified in such a way that equal participation is made possible as far as possible.
Before submitting an application, please read the following detailed information on compensation for disadvantages carefully.
Submit the application for compensation for disadvantages for the winter semester by 1 December and for the summer semester by 1 June. Retroactive application for compensation for disadvantages after an examination is excluded. If you need assistance with your application, please contact Corinna Steinebronn. Otherwise, the application must be submitted in full with suitable evidence to Prof Dr Jörg Hampshire, who will decide on the application. If compensation for disadvantages is granted, please inform the examination coordinator and the relevant instructors independently. Compensation for disadvantages granted does not replace registration for the examination, which must be done in any case in addition.
