In the centre is the second person, a young woman with sunglasses and a green striped T-shirt. She is standing at a high table with flyers on it. Between the two people is a pinboard on which various posters are displayed. To the left of the woman is a stand with a large poster with the title "Campus Garden". In the background you can see the cafeteria as well as other individual information stands and small trees.

Participation in university fair to present support services and university groups for first-semester students

To welcome the new first-semester students for summer semester 2025, an information fair was held on 16 April in the Student Service Centre and on the Mensa forecourt, where students were able to find out about the university's advisory services and opportunities to get involved. Students in their first semester, but of course also those from higher semesters, were able to find out about various offers at the university.

The Sustainability Office was also represented together with the Campus Garden project and provided insights into various offers for students and the entire university in the area of sustainability. The Campus garden as an open, hands-on project offers an immediate opportunity to help design and nurse a piece of campus, get to know other students and employees and learn a lot about the topics of urban gardening, mixed cultivation and local biodiversity.

In addition to the campus garden, the administrative unit Sustainability Office offers many other opportunities to get involved and contribute: Be it attendance at individual courses and workshops on the topic of sustainability, networking with other students interested in sustainability, contributing your own concerns and perspectives in participatory processes for the development and revision of strategy papers or collaboration as part of a university study or thesis. Students were also able to find out about very specific offers such as the sustainability certificate, the FahrRad semester or the Future Climate Weeks at the information stand.
