Sustainability certificate for students from summer semester 2025
17 Dec 2024
Sustainable planning and action has also been anchored in many study programmes for years. Fulda University of Applied Sciences is now taking the next step: from the summer semester of 2025, there will be a sustainability certificate. All students enrolled at Fulda University of Applied Sciences will then have the opportunity to acquire an additional qualification in this area.
As part of the sustainability certificate, they can learn and specialise in both basics and subject-specific sustainability knowledge. After successfully completing the necessary modules, they receive the certificate, which attests to the competences they have learnt and offers them added value when applying for jobs.
The sustainability certificate passes two components:
1. Interdisciplinary and cross-departmental foundation module "Understanding and shaping sustainability: Principles, Perspectives and Transformation" (5 ECTS credits).
Registration for the module will be possible from 12 March 2025 via horstl.
2. students also choose two advanced modules (10 ECTS credits in total) during their university studies, for which they can choose from a broad catalogue of modules from all study programmes.
Note: When selecting modules, please note the access requirements and necessary previous knowledge and check whether you fulfil them. You can include modules from your own study programme if they are listed in the list of modules.
An online information event will take place on 27 January 2025, where you can ask any questions you may have about the sustainability certificate.
