Future Weeks Climate 2026
13 Apr 2026
Climate protection starts on your own doorstep - but what does this look like in everyday life? What challenges does climate change pose for cities and municipalities, educational institutions and enterprises? And what opportunities are there to take action? This is exactly what the Future Weeks Climate 2026 are all about: from 27 April to 8 May 2026, a varied program in Fulda and the region invites you to find out, try things out and get into conversation.
The series of events is coordinated by the Sustainability Office at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and is a joint project with numerous partners - including the Umweltzentrum Fulda e. V., the climate protection management of the city and district of Fulda, the adult education centres of the city and district of Fulda, the Vogelsberg climate education landscape and the St. Elisabeth youth welfare association. Other organisations from the region are also involved.
The program includes presentations, workshops, educational activities and practical hands-on formats. The spectrum ranges from a swap party at the university to events on the causes and consequences of climate change at the environmental centre and activities on the orchard of the youth welfare association in Marberzell. The program is complemented by a bicycle tour to mobility and climate projects in and around Fulda as well as a presentation at the adult education centre that shows how local authorities and citizens can shape climate protection together. In addition, there are numerous other programme items that shed light on climate and sustainability from different perspectives.
