(!) The BeSt project ends at the end of the year 2022. We would like to thank all practice partners for the good cooperation over the past 5 years. If you have any questions, please contact the project leaders, Prof. Dr. Claudia Kreipl and Prof. Dr. Anja Kroke.

A regional offer for SMEs and non-profit organisations.

The implementation project VIII is part of the innovation focus D "Organisational innovation as a prerequisite for quality of life and health" in the Regional Innovation Centre Health and Quality of Life Fulda (RIGL-Fulda).

Today, both companies and non-profit organisations bear a great social responsibility (Corporate Social Responsibility). This also includes responsibility for the health and well-being of employees in everyday business life. Large organisations set up occupational health management (OHM) for this purpose, which focuses on establishing health-promoting structures and sustainable processes. The associated personnel and conceptual effort is usually not affordable for small and medium-sized enterprises as well as non-profit organisations, despite considerable preventive potential and a good cost-benefit ratio.

At the same time, demographic change and globalisation are increasing the pressure on employees and employers alike to perform. Employees are expected to be more mobile, flexible, adaptable and willing to be available and productive at all times.

BeSt addresses these challenges and supports in particular small and medium-sized enterprises as well as non-profit organisations in the implementation of measures for workplace health promotion and social responsibility. The aim is to jointly develop and implement specific and goal-oriented concepts, taking into account the individual framework conditions, such as company size, location(s) and employment structure.

Practical transfer with the aim of promoting the implementation of workplace health promotion and social responsibility measures in companies and non-profit organisations in the region:

  • Raising awareness of health promotion and social responsibility in companies and organisations in the region.
  • Tosupport regional partners in setting up and developing workplace health promotion and social responsibility activities.
  • Exchange of information and experience through networking events

Who do we address?

  • Exchange and networking in the region

The goals are based on framework conditions and target groups: all employees, selected occupational groups, employees in special situations (trainees, managers, reintegration after illness, etc.).

How are the goals to be achieved?

  • Which internal and external partners can support?
  • Which working structures can be created, which responsibilities can be assigned? (e.g. setting up a steering committee or implementation team).
  • Which cooperations, if any, should be sought and can support you in achieving the goals?
  • How can BGM be integrated into the corporate structure/culture?

> Use checklists, for example, to clarify your goals. We would be happy to clarify your goals in a joint discussion or develop them in a free workshop.

(!) After you have gone through the process once and checked the effectiveness of your measures, it is important to analyse the existing situation and needs again and to derive goals for further activities.

> BeSt supports you in quality assurance, e.g. in setting up and moderating steering groups.

BOXnSTOP - the health pavilion as an introduction to workplace health promotion (WHP)

BOXnSTOP is a "walk-in pavilion with interactive tasks" on the health topics of exercise, nutrition and stress and thus enables low-threshold access and the experience of the topic.

The concept introduces your company and your employees to workplace health promotion, creates incentives to deal with the topic and gives impulses for a health-promoting design of the workplace.

BOXnSTOP also serves as an initial assessment of the needs and stresses of your employees and allows you to derive courses of action.

BOXnSTOP onyour premises: BeSt takes over the complete implementation.

Implementation

In the run-up to a project day, all details are clarified: e.g. questions regarding content, arranging dates, checking premises (ideally outside in a driveway, car park, courtyard, etc.), announcing the project day (posters, flyers, if necessary, are provided by BeSt).

Procedure on the project day

  • A "BOXnSTOP" takes about 15-20 minutes per person.
  • A time allocation in advance enables an effective procedure, so that only 3-5 people are pulled out of their work processes at the same time .
  • The BeSt staff welcomes the employees personally and explains the procedure.
  • The "BOXnSTOP" starts with small movement exercises and something to drink.
  • This is followed by the individual tour through the "BOXnSTOP" stations (see graphic).

Costs & effort on the part of the company

The effort for your company is low. BeSt organises and supervises the entire project day on your premises.

The only costs are for drinks and snacks for your employees. Consider this as an opportunity for a "healthy break".

However, your employees should be allowed to visit "BOXnSTOP" voluntarily within their working hours.

Conclusion & evaluation of the project day

After the project day, you will have a meeting with your internal contact person and the relevant decision-makers to discuss the course of the event, the results and possible recommendations for action.

The results of this discussion and possible next steps should be communicated to the staff in appropriate formats.

BeSt is also happy to support you with the subsequent public relations work.

Please do not hesitate to contact us! You can find the concept paper here.
