The book series is a publication forum of the Centre for Intercultural and European Studies (CINTEUS) at the Fulda University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the CINTEUS series is to make research findings, anthologies, conference proceedings, academic transcripts and selected qualification theses available to an interested public.

The series comprises specialised and interdisciplinary works from the fields of inter- and transculturality, the European Union in an internal and global perspective as well as welfare state and social law problems in Europe. These are all specialist fields that are taught and researched at the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at Fulda University of Applied Sciences and the affiliated Centre for Intercultural and European Studies. University studies that have not been produced 'in-house' but that touch on and enrich the CINTEUS specialisations are also expressly invited to attendance.
