ELVe Young Talent Award

Every year, the research centre for nutrition, food and sustainable supply systems (ELVe) at Fulda University of Applied Sciences awards prizes for outstanding theses. Prizes are awarded to very good employees and graduates of the Fulda University of Applied Sciences in the fields of natural sciences and technology, household sciences and social sciences, nutritional sciences, computer sciences and computer science that deal with a key topic of the research centre. The aim is to support junior researchers and create transparency about the innovative potential in the centre's subject area. The prize is endowed with 300 euros.

  • The work must have been completed within a specified period of time.
  • Minimum grade of 1.3 for the thesis (should be vouched for by a copy of the transcript of records and/or a short evaluation by the supervising professor).
  • Applications also require a reasoned recommendation from the respective supervisor(s).

Applications can usually be submitted from August to October. Theses completed in the 18 months prior to the application deadline can be submitted.

  1. Theses can be submitted during the submission period with the relevant documents (the forms will be published with the call for proposals) at elve@.lists.hs-fulda.de.
  2. All submitted theses will be reviewed by two members of the jury. Finally, a ranking will be compiled from the average evaluation. All evaluators are independent of the supervision of the degree and project work.
  3. The winners of the Young Talent Award are contacted by employees of the centre.
  4. The award of the ELVe Young Talent Award takes place annually in December. The award-winning work is presented at this event.
  5. The prize is linked to the opportunity to present the employees' work at the ELVe annual conference the following year.
