Fulda University of Applied Sciences at transport logistic

10 Jun 2025

From 2 to 5 June 2025, Fulda University of Applied Sciences was a co-exhibitor at the Hesse stand at the world's largest logistics trade fair in Munich.

With 2,722 exhibitors from 73 countries and more than 77,000 visitors from over 130 countries, this year's fair was able to report new record figures. The main topics were digitisation, artificial intelligence and sustainability.

Participants from the Department of Business and the House of Logistics and Mobility (HOLM) were not only able to make many new contacts, but also offered exciting presentations on current topics from logistics and supply chain management at their own stand: academic employees Tim Rodrian and Dominik Käufer gave talks on AI-supported geo-analyses and AI for logistics companies. Prof Dr Michael Huth explained the importance of resilience in supply chains in times of pandemics or wars, and Prof Dr Zimmermann and his project partner highlighted the potential for decarbonisation in road freight transport.

At the panel organised by the German Association of Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME), Prof Dr Michael Huth discussed disruptive events, the VUCA world (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) and its significance for freight purchasing with experts from the field.

Of course, there was also plenty of fun to be had at the Hesse evening with live music.

We would like to thank all visitors to our stand and the presentations for their interest and are already looking forward to transport logistic 2027!
