Research, consulting, networking and transfer

The iZT has the task of strengthening, consolidating and further developing the diverse research, development and transfer activities in the field of future-oriented technologies at Fulda University of Applied Sciences.

The main focus is on robotics, artificial intelligence, human-technology interaction, usability and user experience, systems engineering, sustainable mobility, digital health technology and the digitalisation of teaching and learning. Further focal points can be initiated by the members. 

The members of the scientific centre conduct application-oriented research and development in interdisciplinary and cross-departmental projects. The iZT offers access to modern technology laboratories (usability, robotics, mechatronics, industrial engineering) as well as a workshop and creativity room (IdeaLab).

In its role as a service provider, the iZT offers its expertise and services to all departments of Fulda University of Applied Sciences and also for external cooperation partners.
